Welcome to the Jill Newman website. I'm proud to announce my debut CD, Fragile Walls featuring the talents of local Vancouver musicians Stephen Nikleva, Chris Norquist and Peggy Lee and showcasing me on lead electric guitar and vocals. It's a rootsy blend of country, blues and folk. Check out some audio samples at the "Buy CD" page and let me know what you think!

The process of writing these songs made me truly appreciate my favorite songwriters; namely Lucinda Williams, Sonny Landreth and Tom Waits. I am currently writing and arranging songs for my upcoming CD which will include a mix of blues covers along with my newest originals.
