  Maple Ridge Jazz and Blues Festival

  Hi Everyone:
  I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected to perform at the upcoming Maple Ridge Jazz & Blues Festival on August 8, 2009. I will be playing with doghouse and electric bassist, Pat Darcus, keyboardist, Steve Ranta and my favourite drummer, Chris "the wrist" Norquist. My set starts at 4:00pm.   May Day Blues Concert

  Hi Everyone:
  The May Day Blues Show featuring the Jill Newman Band and The Bill Johnson Blues Band at the WISE Hall last night was a success! We had a great turnout of friends and blues fans. It was my first effort producing my own show and I am so grateful for all the support and encouragement I received. Bill and his band were the real deal, playing authentic blues. I had a smokin' group of players including bassist, Pat Darcus, drummer, Chris "the wrist" Norquist and guitarist, Stephen Nikleva. I had a blast playing slide on Stephen's vintage Harmony Rocket (see photo page). It was truly an inspiring evening. So after a few days of down time enjoying some kayaking and sailing, I will be back at it writing new songs for my upcoming CD.
